Multi-textured balls for multiple ways of play. It can also serve as a teether for some kids.

Gross Motor Skills. Infant from birth begin to have an awareness of others and objects. Although the baby's most favorite toy will usually be faces, these colorful and high contrast balls can be used to encourage visual exploration during tummy time or face to face play to give them something fun to look at and follow with their gaze or begin turning their heads to improve their head control. As they get bigger at 3-6 months, they might begin holding objects and eventually reaching for them. Presenting these colorful and interesting toys can encourage them to hold and explore more. When they begin to sit-up, they can gain postural stability, balance, and coordinate their movements while moving their hands, grasping and improving their finger dexterity. Who knew so much could be happening with just 1 ball!

Language. Use the balls to encourage identifying one of our most common objects -- Ball! It can be a great way to introduce colors as well and even encourage conversations while playing together.

Creative Play. The first play skill children engage is what we call sensory play, which uses the different senses -- sight, sounds, taste, touch, smell. That's what makes sensory balls such a big hit for them because it's an all-in-one show stopper for them. They can also use them in other ways as they are growing up, like rolling, throwing, catching and more.

Kids will naturally play and think outside the box. Providing them with open-ended toys encourage them to look for different ways to play with it. They can enhance play skills with the toy itself or jointly with other toys, while folding in activities to stimulate language and cognitive skills.
