Not all media are created equal, and we are challenged with so many options for “educational” materials like shows and apps. How do I know if this is appropriate and how can I guide my child who is born into this digital age? Learn the science behind the guidelines for screentime, receive guiding principles to choosing appropriate media, and brainstorm ways to guide your young child in this age of technology.

These parent classes will be delivered by Dr. Angel Dy, an early childhood development consultant and trained trainer of Zero to Three’s The Growing Brain Curriculum. The sessions have been adapted to support parents with a 30-40 minute lecture followed by a short reflection of how to apply the learning in your day-to-day interactions with your child. We will end all sessions with an additional 15-20 minutes of Q&A.

Please note: recording of the lecture portion of the session will be made available to registrants for up to 30 days. Portions from reflections and Q&A will not be recorded to maintain the confidentiality of the inputs of participants.
