Peek-a-Boo Can Change the World

Simple interactive games like peek-a-boo with babies is a brain-building activity for them.

When I saw the TED talk that was entitled “How every child can thrive by five”, my interest was piqued because I’ve been a long advocate for supporting development especially in children 0-5 years old. In just 7 minutes, Molly Wright describes why it’s so important to do just that!

Brain development from conception until a child’s 5th birthday is one of the critical time periods that need support from caring adults and the community as we provide them the environment for engaging, learning, caring through the meaningful experiences we allow them to have. These provide the lifelong effects to their behaviors and well-being in the future.

Remember these 5 brain-building tips from Molly:

  1. Connecting
  2. Talking
  3. Playing
  4. Healthy home
  5. Community
